I ordered a bottom bracket and some other stuff a little over a month ago. The bottom bracket came with a big dent across the threads (but was properly packaged, so it must have been damaged before it was sent) so I emailed them and they said they'd replace or refund it so I shipped it back. It's been more than three weeks since I shipped it back and I haven't gotten a replacement or any confirmation that it arrived. I've emailed two or three times but they haven't responded.

I feel like I've been swindled. I had to pay for shipping twice for a defective item. I heard they've been busy due to the exchange rate, but they should at least answer their email. Should I just keep waiting?

If you used credit card, call your card company and report what happened and dispute the charge.

FWIW, I ordered a swallow from them a few months back and it took about two weeks for them to send me an email telling me they were outta stock. Wack

I ordered my miche primato cranks from them a few months back with no issue. Shipping took 2 maybe 3 weeks, but everything was fine

I recommend wiggle & pbk if you're going to order from a company in england. I havent heard much good from totalcycling (other than their price for a campagnolo crankset). wiggle and pbk process and ship your order fast -- 6-8 days to the States from time of order.

I ordered a bunch of stuff with totalcycling, and they are definitely spotty with their communication. Despite that, they always got back to me, even if it took a couple of weeks. Tell them you should be refunded the return & re-shipping charges because of errors on their end, and I bet they would take it into consideration

Well, speak of the devil, it came today. I wasn't swindled. Communication would have been nice though. Everything new I buy new from now on is going to be through my university subsidized campus bike shop, which ends up being a better or at least comparable deal to ebay/totalcycling/etc.

I used them when I lived in the UK. The group I bought was missing a front mech and they shipped one out quickly after I called them. I think phone is the best option here.

I ordered a pair of Sidi Dragons from totalcycling, about 5 years ago, and for me it was a very easy transaction. The shoes arrived in the mail in 5(!) days. I was pleasantly shocked at the speed in which my order arrived. I don't remember what shipping method I used, but I did not incur any brokerage fees either.

By the way, I live in Toronto, Canada.

UPDATE: **** totalcycling, the bottom bracket they sent me was Italian instead of English.

use wiggle.co.uk or chainreactioncycles.com instead. i ordered twice from both companies in the last month and it was great. chainreaction sent me the wrong size stem and they credited me the full amount (after some haggling) and i got to keep my stem.
