I want to purchase a pair of pedals for my girlfriend. She does Triathalons and wants some clipless pedals. I have been looking around and found some time rxs road pedal. Here is a link to the pedals http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/13951-240_TIMRX5-3-Parts-399-Pedals/Road/Time-RXS-Road-Pedals.htm. Any thoughts? What kind of shoes would be great for a tri? When I was spectating I saw someone with one flap that could allow you quick realease for transition. Would these be more benificial or are they all pretty good.

I've ridden those Time pedals on a borrowed bike. Not bad but not my favorite...a few hot spots for me. I suppose it's all what you get used to. I would consider these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Triathlon/10/Shimano_105_5610_SPD-SL_Pedals/5360031902/ or these if you want to save a little weight http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/PD_SHIMANO_6620.html?action=currency&id=USD

Pricey but good tri shoe http://triathlonlab.com/product/shimano-wt51.html

Not as pricey - http://brandscycle.com/itemdetails.cfm?LibId=24140

Really though...she's best off trying them on. Different brands fit differently.

I personally like LOOK pedals. But wish I still had my old ones, I got two pair of KEO's, and dont like them as much as the old look with "no float." I have a pair of carbon, and a pair of standard.

Also, for tri shoes, tri to find a shoe with a single velcro strap. I had a pair of Lotto that I used for 17 years, and they were awesome!!!!

Couldnt find any Lotto, so I bought a pair of NIKE which have the ski style ratchet strap. I also have a pair of Louis Garnier which are for race day only. The fit a little wide, but are a single strap, tri-specific shoe.

After some looking around it looks as if she is going with the Shimano 660 pedal such as the 6620 pointed out. She has looked at some reviews and they said this was the better one. I appreciate all the responses.
