Southern California - Suggestions for a cycle computer with altimeter

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I need a new cycle computer and would like to have an altimeter function. Any suggestions?
Here is what I'm looking for -
--------------------------
The usual features (speed, distance, etc.)
Altimeter
Decent size display (No small numbers)
No heart rate or cadence required
Grade would be nice
price range ~ $100 - $150
wireless
Here's what I've found so far -
VDO MC1.0+ for ~ $130
Vetta V100A WL2X ~ $120
Thanks -

VDO MC1.0+ is what I use and highly recommend.

Find a Garmin Edge 305, you don't have to use the HR/cadence functions.... should be able to find a cheap one now, I got a factory refurbished unit and haven't had an issue in almost a year of use...

I was leaning toward the MC1.0+ because of their reputation with other gauges. Didn't know if there was anything else out there.
Thanks for the feedback.

The only problem I had with the Garmin is that I kept forgetting to turn it on / off. I guess I got too use to auto start / stop. No fault of Garmin. Sold it to a friend.
+1 on the VDO MC.1+ though it can be hard to read on the fly. Altimeter is surprisingly consistent on my regular routes.

Well, in that case I would go with the Blackburn Neuro with the altimeter.... I was going back and forth between that and the Garmin.
