Triathlon - bike conversion

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. anyone here convert their road bike to a tri bike? more than just aero bars. if so what all did you do and do you like it? i spent all my money on a madone before i decided i wanted to do triathlons. i now ride with profile carbon stryke bars and love the position but i hate reaching down to shift. the only issue i have is the front of my left knee hurts at about 10 miles, pretty sure thats just seat postion, feels like it needs to go up and forward. i feel like the control is great with the aero bars, just think it would be better with base bars and bar end shifters. thanks

do you have a fast forward seatpost? If not, your hip angle may be too small for the tri position. A full tri set-up may not work because of the differences in the geometry's of a road and tri bike.
