Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Quintana ROO KILO

I'm a 50 year old weekend rider looking to make the jump from hybrid to a touring bike. This bike is seems to be a little banged up. Going for $350. I've never heard of this brand. I know it needs to fit. Besides that, any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with it, and too lazy to look it up, but sounds, from the name, to be more of a time trial, triathlon bike.

Not the same animal, by a long shot, as a touring bike.

The Quintana Roo Kilo is a triathlon bike, ideal for time trials but I'd believe unsuitable for touring - simply built to a totally different geometry for a specific purpose. The price is really reasonable if it's not too rough; a new one would cost around £1,070 (maybe $1,450? I can't keep track of the dollar rate now that Sterling's taking a nose-dive!)

Tri bike. Period. You will not like it to tour at all.
Might make a great bike to trade, though, as the price seems pretty good for a QR.

Is it Ti? A lot of them were. If it is, check for cracks and get it if it isn't.
