How's the traffic between Glendale Community College and Eagle Rock Rec Center? Are there "better" routes than Verdugo - Colorado Blvd?

Urbanknight, isn't this your neck o' the woods?

Depends on what time of day you do it - pretty standard rush hour traffic from what I've seen. The only thing I'd be worried about is climbing Colorado, since cars can fly up that hill faster than I can. You could always turn left up Live Oak and take Hill all the way there, but if I remember correctly, that's pretty hilly :-p

You'll probably want to take Verdugo -> Wilson -> Broadway -> Colorado rather than Verdugo -> Colorado, it's shorter, less traffic, and you avoid that 2 offramp of death.

Is it possible to get through E Glenoaks, then Scholl Cyn Road? It's not clear if that's paved or not.

I've been through there before, and I'm pretty sure it is paved the whole way, but that's a much worse climb =P Go for it if you don't mind the hills and the curvy road.

Just a follow up post: I've been taking Hill instead of Colorado, which runs next to the 134 freeway. What a nice road!
