Cox just did a channel changeup in my area, so guess of course which channel is part of a different pay package....OLN!!!!!! With the Lance Chronicles and the Road to the Tour on tonight plus the Giro starting on Sat. I am not very happy right now. Just ranting. Hate to pay for the dumb sports package when OLN is the only one I care for. Why couldn't they just leave things alone? Who knows.

Just put down the controller and step away from the cable box... We got rid of our cable(400+ channels) and how just have an antenna, I actually read a book. OK, it was a comic book "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen II", but a book none the less. You gotta work your way up. (And it was a hardback)

Our local cable company did the same thing to us two years ago in June; right after the Giro and before the Tour de France. Didn't realize it until we went to tune-in for the Prologe Time Trial.
That evening while still ranting about it over margarita's we decided to check into Satellite TV. We left On The Border, dropped in at Best Buys and the following morning I was on the roof installing my Dish and by noon we were "on-line". Best personal electronics decision I've ever made and NO Regrets. Comcast recently tore up all the front yards to put new broad-band cables in but no one 'round here is giving up their dishes... it's that much better. At least that's been our experience.
Giro starts Saturday....!

I would give up cable, not that big of a deal. Just that when I went to tune into the Lance Chronicles and Road to the Tour and eagerly awaiting the giro, the last thing I wanted to see on my oln channel was 'not authorized, to order call ********'. I read plenty of books by the way, right now the only books I am reading are engineering books! 3 more finals...

I didnt count all of the *'s but I think everyone got the idea :D The lady that I ordered it from asked why I was calling to order it and that a lot of other people were up in arms about it and ordering it also, so maybe the word will get through that cyclists want OLN. And with that maybe the coverage will become better.
