Hi Ive just got back in the saddle and Ive bought a Carera Vanquish frame (only) dont want to speand a fortune but want to build my own bike for the first time so need your advice on what mech's brakes brackets etc, well infact all components that might make a good entry level bike.

Please Help :)

Oh and sizes etc I will need to look for, only ever been lazy before and bought off the shelf as it where?

Being honest, it's cheaper to buy off the shelf, especially at the lower end of the scale, so you have to consider why you want to build the bike.

If it's to gain experience and have something unique as the priority with cost coming second to that, then go for it. There are lots of threads on BF discussing builds. Ebay is your friend too.

You also need to consider the investment in tools etc. as if you're not likely to build much, it might be better to borrow tools from friends etc. if that's an option, rather than spending lots of cash on torque wrenches etc.

As a starter, let us know how much you intend to spend. I could suggest parts but without a budget there it would be a useless list.
