is this a BMX bike?
I was waiting in my LBS for one of the guys to look up a certain part, and I was looking at the BMX bikes. One of the cool things I noticed, at least on all of the specialized that I saw, had this hole on the left side crank arm where (presumably) a chainring could be mounted. that would make for a really easy trainsition to left hand drive...just switch the chainring, and flip the flip flop hub...

You need a crank that will allow you to mount the chainwheel on the left or I guess you could put your existing crank in backwards, although your pedals would be backwards as well. You also need a left side drive specific freewheel. ACS makes a few of them, you should be able to get them from your local bike shop although they might need to special order one for you.

Here the way to do it. Put stuff on left. Pedal backwards.

BMX'ers do it because some of them like to grind on the right hand side. By putting the drivetrain on the left they can grind without it getting in the way.
