Hello. I have a Goldenmotor rear-wheel kit that I used last summer but my rim took a major beating, so I'm looking to replace the rim before summer hits again.

I have run into a problem here in that my local bike shop cannot make custom sized spokes for my new proposed rim. I could order and cut new spokes, but I want to have the spokes properly threaded in a rolling machine. Because I live in Yellowknife, NT, I don't want to ship my hub somewhere else to get my tire built.

Does anyone have a reference to a place (in Canada, preferably) that makes custom sized spokes? They would be in 14ga and approx. 175mm.

Thank you.

Have you thought about contacting any Canuck ebike shops? JV Bike or Renaissance Bike Co. in Vancouver or Power in Motion in Calgary (just to name a few) could be of assistance.

Success!

I emailed "Winterborne Custom Bicycles" (www.winterbornebikes.com (http://www.winterbornebikes.com) ) and they gave me a great recommend for "Phil Wood & Co." (http://www.philwood.com/index.html), the place that makes the Phil Wood machine Ypedal was talking about.

Anyway, the Phil Wood place was able to take an order online to cut spokes at 157mm and they will be on their way by Priority Mail on Monday (ordered on a Friday). I actually didn't see Ypedal's post until AFTER I had ordered the spokes. :( At least I got some spokes coming :)

Thanks for the replies
