Seems like a decent lock, is it worth it if you are not a bike messenger? Just kidding... Anyways I don't want anything big and bulky and this seems like a convenient lock to have. Anyone have this that can give some input.
And please lets not get into the security part of it, I saw that thread and it was moronic.

i like mine. sometimes its a bit of a hassle when there are obstacles in between the bike and whatever you're locking it to, especially in crowded bike parking spots(like on campus), but otherwise its fine. i didnt need the huge regular one, so i went with the mini and it serves me well

I like mine so far. I had an Onguard Bulldog Mini for a long time and after about 2 years of daily use it my key finally refused to turn in the cylinder any more. So I got an Evolution Mini. It feels sturdy, with a very light key action which is nice. I'm moving to NY in the fall though - hopefully it'll hold up there.
I like mine, been using it for a couple years. Fits in your back pocket, or a small pocket in your pack, and fits around frame or rear wheel and a bike rack/parking meter.
If you know where you will always lock to and there is a rack, parking meter, etc there it could work, but you'll be quite limited to what you can lock to due to it's small size, and you might find yourself hunting for a secure place outside of the CBD or a campus.
If you're commuting and have to lock up outside, you can always leave a large ulock/heavy chain on some bike rack nearby where you lock up, so even if the rack you use is full, you still have a large lock to go around something else, without having to carry around some 10+ pound lock on you. Not to mention you have a super heavy duty lock for someplace you're going to be leaving outside for several hours daily. However, if you're not going to be keeping it locked up for hours in a risky area, there's usually some kind of rack/meter/metal railing/bum/fence (the posts, not the fencing part! and even then, they could still cut the fencing apart and lift your bike off the top if they really wanted to) that I can lock to within a block of wherever I'm going, at least around where I live.
I suppose out in more suburban areas there's less stuff to lock to, but at least in urban areas there should be all kinds of random immobile crap you can lock to.

NYC types are using OnGuard Locks now too...
I got a OnGuard MINI for like $32 new from the LBS...
Seems as solid as my krypto... I use both if I am locking up for more than 30 min, and also add a krypto chain if it will be locked for more than that!!! He he... I love my crappy bike!

Mini locks are nice, they fit into pockets/belts and can't be broken as easily with an auto jack or crowbar.
Unless I'm leaving my bike somewhere I can keep eyes on it/take it inside, I use both an onguard bulldog mini and regular size kryptonite evolution II.

i love mine. Had a ongaurd mini that was a major rattler. I had the nY forgetaboutit which honelty weighs about 3.5 mini evos. Get it, it comes with 4 keys and free replacement. You will be happy(happy as you can be about a lock).
