After looking at many articles and bikes online that pertain to TRI bikes, I have noticed some different setups. Mainly I have noticed that most TRI bikes have the Stem go straight out from the headset. Is this best for the TRI Bike. Once again I am researching for my girlfriend. She owns a Giant OCR2 road bike which she bought when she lived and commuted in Chicago. Now we are in Tahoe and she is getting into Tri's and wants to be more focused. The bike was originally a commuter and is a good entry level bike. However, myself a mountain biker trying to help her set up her bike, I have no clue. Some info we have found out is to have the handlebars lowered. We recently raised the seat which gave her some awesome leverage and she didn't even break a sweat on her trainer, which she normally would have. We want to set it up for the maximum overall efficency. I understand this post may be alittle scatter brainned, but hey I am a laid back mtn biker who is all about the downhill action. Any suggestions on set up, upgrades, etc would be greatly appreciated.:twitchy:
