Haven't been to Sedona yet. The key word is YET! I've heard it's an awesome place for riding, from the pics you took and the smile on your faces, I'm guessing that's true!

Nice bikes BTW, all big fans of Trek huh?

Thanks...these two guys were some of my main ridding buddies/friends when i lived back in philadelphia.
I have been through a lot with those guys! A little history....

I met Randy (the Guy in the green) in 94 in at Wissahickon ( a great! park in philly...still one of my favs) it was the summer before i started med school and I had no money, a crap bike and was looking at med school hell. Randies wife was finsihing at the med school i was starting! This guy totally took me under his wing! Despite the Gut (new daddy!) this guy is a hammer and we road that park all the time...when i was too broke to afford a decent meal Randy and his wife would have me over for a barbacue. When school was getting me down he would kidnap me away to his parents posh north jersey home for home cooking and hard ridding!! We've raced 24hours of canaan, round valley, belmont and other great races together. Now he's married 1 kid one on the way...awesome house, rides a Team addition scalpel and is living large!

Mike (the guy in the blue top) and i met in 95 at a climbing gym (another thing i have been known to do) We've been on multiple road/climbing/ridding trips to kentucky, west virginia, virginia, the outer banks all over! Again, when i was in med school and could not take it anymore this guy kept throwing me back in the game. He too...great wife, awesome house, rides a sick a$$ viscous (love the small companies....so much passion!)

me...grew up in west philly (same neighbor hood as will smith less desirable section) not poor but not quite middle class...some how got my sorry butt through undergrad and med school and residency ( not a natural student at all!) worked my way through as a valet, a waiter, computer support person, rei salesperson, etc. moved to phoenix took an awesome job in an ER. Have earned the respect of my peers, live in an awesome house, have three great bikes, a 911 and an mdx and a ton of loving friends, family, ridding partners, beer buddies...Some how got a smoking chick to dig me (the greatest trick of all!...and no i am not compensating with the p-car ;) )...I take off about a week a month...ride like a fiend on unbelievable trails right outside my door!

when i first moved to az me and these two guys piled into my outback(now replaced by the mdx in the pics), bikes and the last of my crap packed in or on it and headed west. We road the west! All over boulder, golden, winter park, moab all in route to phoenix.

year after year, time after time the guys in these picture have been there with and for me...good bad and ugly mountain biking all the way!

so jasbike i have to disagree with you my friend...I am not lucky at all I am blessed!

Great shots Sedona is a great place for riding. Just curious though, do you ever ride So. Mountain? You could pedal there and the riding is great too. I also remember a few single tracks that ranged anywhere from 5mi up to 20 mi at the end of, I believe, was Lincoln Bl. on the east side and some of them wrapped around Scottsdale. Hit the trails about 11 am in August and you might be the only one there.:)

So are you going to try and get her to quit smoking?;)

Really good composition and color. I've been thinking about taking a camera through the national reserve that I often cycle through. Was the camera digital or film? How about the focal range? Any recommendations?

Enjoy the ride. When I lived there I used to ride that place daily before anyone even knew what a mtb paradise it was/is. I was always the only one out. I think I was one of maybe three or four riders in the area that had a mtb. The shop I bought my ride from thought I was weird because there were only rodies around at the time but they had orderd a Biachi mtb just to see if they could sell it. Luckly it was just my size;) That was when I went from bmx to mtb.
