cannot reply without quoting

i can start new threads ok, but when i want to reply within a thread, there is no reply button and the quick reply field is not there. the only way i can post is if i quote someone's post. strange problem huh? any help would be appreciated. oh by the way, it hasnt always been like this, only for about the past month.

Same thing happens to me when I'm not logged in. Try logging out and then logging in again and you should see something like this. What "Display Mode" are you using (upper right hand corner of page)? I'm using linear.
