hey! thinking about next season. Thinking that this should be my next bike, because i am on a bit of a budget...
but i've got some stuff left over to add to it like, TRP brakes, and Ritchey WCS fork, headset stem and post, and Chris King wheels...
but what im asking, is how people have liked this bike? mostly the frame, geometries etc and such...

I've thought about getting it. I went for a good test ride. The ride is pretty quick and responsive. Pretty lightweight for the price. I ended up getting a GT Type CX because the geometry fit me better. The Conquest has a little more relaxed geometry compared to the GT.

I'm a bit of a cross newbie who picked on up last Fall on a pretty good deal at my local shop. I'd describe the geometry as a stable and somewhat relaxed, but still responsive when need be. I've kept it upright on some fairly hairy singletrack, yet I have had some times when I needed a quick handling machine and it couldn't respond fast enough. You can also chalk that up to my relativelack of experience with riding cross.
My only real complaint with the bike itself is the FSA crank, which is eight shades of awful, but it's a great frame/fork.

I bought a 2009 58cm frameset and build it up with some parts that i had laying around. It was a nice frame, but not for me. I bought it to build up as a commuter, but it never fit the bill for me. It was not as quick as my road bike and harsher/not as relaxed as my friends Rivendell that might replace it,(if i can sell the frameset). Over all it was a nice frame, and would most likely make a good race rig it all depends what you want it for.

FSA Gossamer crankset comes stock from Redline on the Conquest Pro. In short, crankset design is junk. The topcap bolt on the nondrive-side arm is notorious for coming loose, causing the arm to wobble or, in the worst case, fall off.
Only weak link in a bike I'm enjoying thoroughly.
Just got mine Friday, two rides in and I'm loving it. I can't say much to the geometry as I have never owned a cross bike but it handles great. The Rival kit is awesome, and I think I'm going to swap out the FSA cranks for a Rival one to even out the kit. I'll post a more comprehensive review once I get more hours in! Also look right below this post, I posted pictures of my new whip!

i have an 09 conquest pro and it is great , i will also say the cranks look nice although the creaking will drive anyone nuts , for what its worth i also just bought a 2009 giant tcx , i honestly think the redline is a little bit better as far as spec was concerned , i like the giant frame more as the tubing looks nicer.:)
