Fellow Overland Parker here. I like Santa Fe Trails in Leavenworth (Trek/Lemond), bit of a drive up there though. They do emphasize road bikes, and the folks that work there actually ride ...

I lived in Leavenworth for a time. Loved it, especially considering I grew up in Oregon and saw where the Oregon Trail began. Never biked there, wasn't into it at the time. Working for Uncle Sam didn't leave much time for stuff like that. Nice to meet you.

Welcome. I'm in Lee's Summit and a new shop has just opened out here called Summit Bikes. The employees I've met are all experienced cyclists and seem very knowledgeable. It's probably about 20 minutes away from you.
