A few weeks ago I was at a marathon my GF was running in. While biking to the start line (which was a good 10 miles away from the finish, where the car was) I ran into a couple bikers going the same direction. We all started riding together, to speed up the ride.
Now, I have a '02 blue LeMond Tourmalet, with Ksyrium Elite wheels.. not exatly your "High End" bike, but I have to admit, it looks pretty nice. Well, these two bikers I was with, started talking about my bike, and how nice it looked.. "Thats one good lookin bike you have there.." etc.. now they were riding very nice bikes (that put mine to shame), so I returned the compliment. Next, they started talking about, of all things, my water bottle cages.. "Ya know what?? That bike would look GREAT with some yellow water bottle cages".. and between the two of them, came to an agreement about how much better the bike would look with yellow waterbottle cages "Yup.. would defintiely be better with yellow water bottle cages".. I couldnt help but laugh after listening to this for a few minutes..
This isn't some sort of biker code for a lame bike is it?? lol... ;)
