So I was cruising around saturday morning and I came across a garage sell. The guy had a bunch of bike stuff and I walked away with an Ideale saddle for 10 dollars. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on these saddles for me.
I know they are French and that my particular saddle is marked with "rodeé main selon Rebour"
Thanks.

That's all I can tell you, except that I have two Ideale's and I like them.

Here is another link (http://www.ebykr.com/?p=68) to the site SweetLou posted that has some of the history of Ideale. I have a couple of their saddles, just don't have them mounted on bikes. Most of my regular riders have Brooks or one with a Wrights.
Aaron:)
Nice catch.I would give $10 for a nice one any day.I like mine .I put it on my old super sport.

I believe that "Rebour" indicates that yours is a pre-softened model.
