Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Weird. My wife has always expressed an interest in bikes, right up until the time we buy her one. And then it becomes a thing to hang damp laundry on. We've bought her two bikes in the last five years, and the combined odos read 57 total miles.http://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/roflmao2.gif

Then the other day, she was visiting (we've separated but we're still close) and noticed the brochure for LRR sitting on my art table. She's since gone nuts, riding every other day this week. Good rides, too. Asking for advice and help. She registered for this all ladies ride for this summer, and is very excited. She even rides with me a lot of the time. I'm puzzled, but excited, and I hope this enthusiasm keeps up. She looks damn good in lycra...but I digress. Maybe it was the pink jersey that got her excited, I don't know, and I don't care. Just happy to see her riding.http://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/1luvu.gif

So I'll be there, probably volunteering in the weenie wagon, or fixing flats or something. Say hi if you see me. I'm not really a cat though so maybe I'll have to change my avatar.

I know there's a lot of us whose partners have no interest in riding whatsoever. Maybe if you just leave the brochure laying around inconspicuously things will change. It's worth a shot.

That's cool Al. I know several folks that do that each year. I hear the Bonneville Cycling Club is a great host for this.

Yup, you'll definitely have to change the avatar to a wolf.

Probably see you there, I've volunteered for the weenie wagon or flat repair. My daughter is riding it.

I was a member of bcc, and they do a great job. The only big event I did was ULCER but it was extremely well done. The directors are always welcoming suggestions for improvements as well. A really great club. I'm excited for this year.
