One of the most useful rides in South Florida is the M-Path, a multi-use trail in the shade of the Miami Metrorail. From downtown Miami the path will take you close to Coconut Grove, past the University of Miami and almost to Dadeland Mall, the shopping mecca of the south suburbs. My bike-advocacy group, Green Mobility Network (http://greenmibilitynetwork.org), has launched a campaign to Complete the M-Path by building a missing link at the south end so the path would link up with the South Dade trail -- making a clear ride all the way to Homestead and Florida City, the gateway to the Florida Keys. Look for the Facebook group Complete the M-Path (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=57039726885) and sign up to help complete the path, carry out a safety and rideability upgrade and protect the path from developers' incursions.
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
