Thats the nice thing about the south.
Snow is like your in-laws. Visits are OK and can even be enjoyable, but never ever do you want them to move in for an extended period.

In the southwest, you can pick and chose if you want snow or not because of the elevation. Is it the same way in some parts of southern Appalachia?
