Classic & Vintage - Tricky Question for the Dura Ace/Crane Experts, Please Help

I am currently cleaning out every single thing from my garage in an effort to streamline/downsize my collection and am unsure about these barcons.

Original to/off of a very obscure Japanese touring bike from the (mid 70's?) came a Crane GS rear D and the front D is a "Shimano 60".... The bar-end shifters are quite nice and I'm wondering if they may also be Crane GS?? Is there such a thing as "Crane" barcons??

Hmm, I have one bike that came equipped with 1st gen Dura Ace: Crane GS RD and DuraAce labeled FD (with cutouts on the outside of the cage) and downtube shifters marked "DuraAce" on the dustcaps. I'm not aware of Shimano barcons from that era, but who knows? Any model info printed on those shifters? A pic would help, too.

I have a pair of the barcons stored away somewhere, never liked the coil-spring action as much as the SunTour's ratchet, but the Shims are nicer *looking*...I also never knew them to have any gruppo name on them, tho it makes sense they'd be included in the "touring" group with the GS Crane, but I think your OEM set with the 60 FD and 600 sidepull calipers indicates a set they pulled together of "one tick down from DA" to meet the demand for touring.

I'm kind of used to the Suntour's too; the spring action was unusual to me the first time I tried them.
I was definitely happy to find those early 600's though!

now bigwoo if you are in the least bit unhappy with those barcons I've got a minty Crane GS that would love to have them over for dinner :D Just curious whether there is any date code stamp on those early 600 calipers?

The brakes are a complete/front & rear set of calipers and levers and appear to be the very 1st generation as they are stamped "Japan 57" opposite of the "AE" which should put them at May of 1976.

I wanted to confirm that at Cuda2k's Velobase but he must be working on it because the site was down....

I have no appropriate use for them and listed them on ebay. I'll send you the link when I get home if you'd like ?? (Can't do it on computers at work)

Basically, I want 80% of this stuff gone so I can spend most of my time riding my own bikes this year in the beautiful Rockies and racing TT's in the Master's group. I am commited to narrowing my collection down to a very small "core" group. I love outfitting the college kids and making them happy but I am very tired of flipping, bored w/ dealing w/ sharks, don't enjoy thrift stores like I did 5-10 years ago. These last 2 years, I feel myself evolving as a rider and want that to continue.
Most importantly, I have lost 36 lb in the last 2 years!! I owe that almost exclusively to riding vintage steel road bikes and 80's MTB's...
