What "infomercial" products have you ordered? Some of them actually work pretty well. For instance the Rain X spray on product works quite well at beading the water away during a rainstorm.
an overwhelming majority of them really work as advertised...
personal favourite is the thawing/defrosting plate. really speeds up the process of getting frozen foods to room temperature without leaving the centre frozen

Those Ginsu knives are rad, and the only weak point of that P90X workout seems to be ME.
btw, anyone use the car pedal lock or try to break one?

Get your mind out of the gutter.
Shamwow is the tits for drying a car.
The shamwow works well enough, but two of mine have been practically shredded in the dryer. I'm going with 50% wow and 50% sham.
The ab roller is the dumbest thing I've ever purchased.

The magic bullet is pretty nice--for someone who hardly ever needs to use a big blender/food processor, it is perfect.

Does stuff from QVC count as "As Seen on TV"?
If so, that's where I got my enameled cast iron French oven.
I have a Ronco food dehydrator, but I didn't buy it from the infomercial.

Then you can pee in it while watching tv and wait for a commercial to go wring it out.
To me, the funniest thing about the snuggie commercial is the family all dressed in their snuggies at the sporting event. they look so totally ridiculous. i love it.
I've got a Smart Spin storage container set, though I bought it in a store.

Over Xmas I got my wife a Steam Buddy. She seems happy with it. I haven't used it yet.
I got the potato mitt about a year ago ($4.99 in a store). It works "ok", but is not much less work than just peeling the potato in the first place.

Do you pray at the alter of, " I don't care what I look like, I'm comfortable"? Or is it, "look at me I'm different"?

Forgive my ignorance, but what is required to make a blender-shaped appliance a 'real' blender?
The original vertical Spanek Roaster. Worked great too - especially with duck. Unfortunately, it left with the ex-husband.

POWER.....I was referring to the Vita-Mix and the Blend-Tec. Both are extremely powerful blenders and seriously heads and tails over anything you'll buy in the store. These are the brands that also make all the commercial blenders that smoothie shops and such use. :D :thumb:

Regardless of what the ad says, you should not put ShamWow towels in the dryer.
Wife got an Ab Roller from her sister. It had then, and still has, about ZERO hours on it. At least it was free.
The Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven actually works just fine.

I have these and I agree they are pretty good, much better than using nails. I also have the putty thing. The green on the outside and white on the inside. You cut off a piece and blend the two by kneading it. It too works well, but I've only used it small projects. I've yet to try and pull a truck like on the commercial.

OxyClean with that guy Billy somethin' actually works darn well! I use just one scoop in my car-wash bucket and it degreases road-grime and grease off the car better than anything else I've ever used. My wife bought an old persian-rug the other day and it had some grey areas from foot-traffic. We rubbed that area with a sponge and OxyClean and you could instantly see the spot turning white! We added some OxyClean to the steam-cleaner and our carpeting looks brand-new! :)

Nope...not a wine snob. In fact, I tend to prefer cheaper wines in general. 'Better' wines are often dry and I hate dry wines. I want my wine to be more like alcoholic grape juice. :D:thumb:
