Hey guys, just whipped this up in my garage and have to say it works great! There was some initial slipping, but carbon friction paste and a little more torque fixed that right up. The bits I used were from a Yakima car rack and bolted neatly onto the rear bar of my Xtracycle with the use of a small spacer. It doesn't interfere with installing wideloaders and comes on and off in seconds. Hopefully this will inspire other people to do the same!

Nice idea. I have been toying with the idea of mounting a front hub to the rear of my bike for this purpose, but couldn't come up with a way to keep it from rotating under.
