"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Need to get rid of one of my bikes, which one??

I posted this in the road cycling forum, but haven't go any responses maybe cause it belongs here. Trying to make a hard decision and need some help.

I currently have two bikes. My P2-SL set up for TT, and an Aqua and Sappone Specialized S-works set up for road. I'm thinking about consolidating down to one bike.

I'm leaning towards putting some drops on the P2-SL and getting a set of clip-on aero bars for it. One thing I'm not sure about is I have the Cervelo TT fork on it with 45mm rake, would this yeild poor handling for a road set up? would I be better of with a 43mm rake if I decide to use it as a road/tt??

I could also keep the S-works and sell the P2-SL, but the P2-SL is more aero and has internal cable routing. Both frames are the same size, 54cm, and actual top tube length is approx the same.

OR, I could sell both and buy another frame. If anyone has any suggestions on a frame that would be better than the P2-SL or the S-works as road/TT let me know.

You didn't get any responses because it's a dumb question. The answer is ALWAYS at least one more bike.

The P2 is pretty TT specific geometry, do you think you'd be comfortable for multiple hour rides on it?

Honestly, keep both. You'll lose a lot of money selling them compared to what you put in, two bikes don't take up that much space and they're both great at specific functions. You'll end up being like the guy that buys a hybrid and realizes it sucks at mountain biking and sucks at road biking.

+1 on keeping them both.

If you've got to get rid of one, unless all you do is TT's or triathlons, keep the road bike, and buy some clip ons if you want to do a TT.

Sell both and get a Soloist, or whatever Cervelo calls it now.

Without an explanation of the kind of riding you do and what your goals are, your question is unanswerable.

Although I can offer that putting drop bars on a TT bike is not the solution, no matter what the question is.

I vote to keep them both. You'll lose money by selling one. Fair market value for used bikes is a lot lower than you think it is.

If you have to sell one, sell the TT bike. That is unless you are strictly a TT'r.

Keep both. If the wife says lose the bike or lose the wife, a road bike can always be used to TT. A TT bike cannot be used for mass start events. If worried about aero stuff? sell both and pick up one of the aero road bikes (Cervelo, Ridley, Felt).

Ya i figured I would keep the road, I love that P2 though. I've found a buyer for it anyway, for a pretty good price on both ends. I'm trying to get a Soloist Team (now the S1), if that works I will sell the road also
