What are fattest tyres that will fit in a Raleigh Twenty frame please?
Can I fit BMX wheels with 20" x 1.75" tyres?

I believe mine were Kendas. They ride very nicely. Roger

Schwalbe Big Apples. 2.0 X 406. The 50 X 2.00" version will fit a Raleigh Twenty frame. They are fast and comfortable.
But a 2" tyre only JUST fits on the original front fork, with almost no clearance. If your wheel is wobbly then that will have to be straightened first.

Depends on the rim, but a 20 x 2 should not be an issue on most rims.

The stock steel rim is extremely wide. With a 1.95" CST Cyclops I had 1mm of clearance at 50 PSI and none at all at 65psi. Now I have Sun Rhyno Lite rims and probably enough clearance for Big Apples.
Another factor is that the Cyclops run as straight as if they'd been turned on a lathe. (At least the pair I have do.) But wiggly Big Apples are fairly common.
The Cyclops are a good deal, 1/2 the price and 100gr lighter than the 2.0 Apples. But they don't seem to have the Apple's ability to roll well at very low pressures.
