Since the Garmin can never be wrong...

Although that speed is clearly not right, one thing that has happened over the winter is interesting (at least to me). My average speed on the MTB right now is almost exactly what it was on the road bike when I stopped riding it in mid-December. Originally I had lost about 3mph. Now I can't help but wonder to myself if getting back on the road bike when the roads are swept will result in a 3mph increase in average speed.

Yeah, I know, it isn't going to happen, but it is fun to dream.

On my way to work this morning my computer told me I was going 66 mph. Apparently the traffic light sensor I was stopped on was freaking it out.

Pushing a heavier less aero bike in clothes that are also less aero in an atmosphere that is denser will make you stronger.

Come srping you will be ripping the legs off your mates that spent the winter indoors and off their bikes and even they guys who use trainers will be victimized.

I wasn't close enough to anything like that. I am not really sure what did it, but I am assuming it glitched a calculation after briefly losing signal in the underpass tunnel I had just come out of. I ride that route twice a day (to and from work) and that has never happened before. I had to chuckle a little to myself as I imagined my poor MTB wheels flying apart.
