so I can ride for what seems like forever on a narrow seat but the dam wide weird shaped exercise bike seats at my gym feel like an ass hatchet. I was only on the seat for 30 mins too

I've ridden on my xc race seat a bontrager for 6 hours with minimal soreness

I find that my comfy gel seat gets not so comfy on the wind trainer. I think it has to do with the fact that when riding the seat moves side to side, but on the trainer or exercise bike, it doesn't.

Exercise bike seats have very wide back portions and narrow noses. If you don't have a wide back portion yourself you have to sit on the nose.

I can stand about 10 minutes on those. I use them to warm up for weight lifting. If I want to do any indoor "riding" I go find a spin bike, or use the spin bike at home. I put a real bike saddle on that.
