I had a cold a couple of weeks ago, and riding hard in cold weather still makes me wheeze. So, this morning I break out the commuter bike and ride to the gym for a 2-hour spin class.
As usual, I was quickly soaking wet with sweat, and dripping all over the place. About 30 minutes into the class, the instructor gets off her bike and turns on a big fan right next to me. It felt great, but it also dried out the front of my shirt where it was blowing directly on me. The salt crystals that formed on the inside of my shirt started rubbing and irritating my...nipples. BUT...I'm a manly man, and pushed through the discomfort. You know...HTFU.
When I get to the locker room after the class, I notice that I have this big pink stain on the left side of my chest. It seems that I had rubbed one nipple raw enough to bleed through my shirt.
So, now here I am, Mr. Manly Man, holding my work-shirt away from my body whenever I even have to walk down the hall.
Maybe pushing through discomfort for that particular issue, was not such a good idea? :o:rolleyes:
