...when you are perplexed as to why your bike is missing from the garage only to remember you brought it into the basement last December to thaw and clean it up. :cry:

You go to the bike shed and the mower is blocking the way to the bikes.

I bought a pair of used Sidis on ebay, and while I have several pair with the old style latch I was not familiar with the new latch. I tried them on and was unable to get them off. I kept making them tighter and tighter, on my feet. Finally I went on the internet and googled Sidi to find the instructions to work the latch. Now I don't wear them, out of fear of being "trapped again". [Good thing I know how to operate the buckle on my helmet.]

Looks like we have the same brand. I had the instructions that came with the shoes and I just referenced it after I got home from the ride.

I had been wearing the Lakes and Specialized all winter. Their buckles open by pulling up on the latch...the Sidis I have open by pushing down on a lever.

Your Grand Marquis has a flat, and you can actually find your spare tire, because your bike (and bike tools and helmets and ...) isn't being lugged around in the trunk.

Your bicycle lock refuses to unlock without generous applications of lube. Fortunately you test the lock before you lock two bicycles to an immovable object and go into the coffee shop.

You are unable to sit on the saddle the second time you ride.

Your leg doesn't get over the stokers' handlebar until the third try...
