So today was the day I couldn't stand looking at the bike on the trainer, put some new tires on and hit the road. Well after working real hard on the trainer all winter I flew out the gate so to say. Man I was all that, just flying! Bike was working great the legs full of power, I was the man. Then I turned around into a headwind, man oh man nothing like the road to remind you of the real world, I had to use my small ring to get down some of the hills man it was so windy. All in all though I could feel a big difference in my abilities, cadance was really up from last year and the hills seemed a lot less difficult. Had my HR higher than all winter too, maxed out at 194 averaged 145, man I still have a silly grin on my face, God I love the road! Oh yeah 62km total.

Feels great don't it? Congrats, sounds like the wind welcomed you with open arms. Been blowing purty hard 'round here as well...Natures trainer, I suppose.

hey youcoming, I'm in Ont. also, in kitchener-waterloo.
I took my bike off the trainer also today, for a short 5 km ride to the gym, worked out, and 5 km back.
But I'm glad it was only 5 km; we were 2C/36F, and it started raining while I was at the gym. I was pretty chilly from the knees downwards.
Back on the trainer for you, bike.

but yeah, it was really nice to get out on the road. And I noticed a performance improvement from all that time going nowhere in the basement.
