I took a ride on my normal loop today. It goes along Garden Highway and around the airport. It's a fast, flat, fun ride with a lot of farm land, very nice houses and excellent river views.

This is at the Elkhorn Launch. Looks like the river has lots of water in it. A huge change from the last time I was here (in early February):

I love this farm. I get to see it every morning on my way to work. It's beautiful during sunrise:

Yep. Excited to be riding tomorrow. It's weird to think I barely rode for two months; A huge change from the past year ;) With DST this weekend, I'm hoping to get back to riding 4-6 days a week again. I love coming home and riding after work.

I'm right there with you-can't wait to get some miles in if the weather stays decent.

Nice photos. Is that the same route as the River Race Ride? I've heard about that one but have no plans to try to hang with those folks, just want to steal their route...

Do you mean the Monday night ride? That group is FAST. I've ridden with them three times - hung on once, dropped twice :(

The route is pretty similar but they're a bit different. Their route is:

Start @ Natomas Park Dr.
Right on Garden Highway

Follow it to Power Line Rd

Left @ Power Line Rd
Left @ Elverta Rd.
Left @ Garden Highway

All the way back to Natomas Park Dr.

Sometimes the go left @ San Juan, follow it down to Acevedo and go right. Acevedo becomes Natomas Park Dr. when it crosses W. El Camino. They haven't taken that route during the three rides I've attended, but I've seen them in that area before.

My route is slightly different.

Right on El Centro from San Juan
Right on Power Line Rd.
Left on Elverta
Left on Garden Highway
Left on San Juan

I'll reverse the route, like I did today, based on wind direction. It's good for just under 22 miles.
