Matt showed up right on time this morning and we headed off for the ride. Nice a flat with a few rollers as we closed in on hill number 1. A quick pit stop before starting:

and we were off. Not too tough a run up the first climb. 1/2 a mile or so of steady 9-10%. Here's a shot of Matt enjoying the view:

We headed up the valley from there and turned off to the right for climb number 2. I got a picture of Matt as he neared the top of the first suffering:

After cresting the ridge, we headed into Folsom for a quick stop at the local bike shop to fill up water bottles. Then a nice easy flat ride home:

We finished up with 45.95 miles, 15mph average, 2351 feet of climbing.

I had a lot of fun on today's ride. That was a great loop and those hills were fun to climb.

Those are some nice looking roads. Cold and sunny, just the way I like it.

Good job fellas!

I wanted to make this ride but couldn't get out of the house until noon. I shot over to Winters and hit Cardiac hill for a couple repeats. I'm still fine tuning my cleat placement on my new shoes... and right foot is going numb, grrr.

Nice report guys. What was the temperature like with you? It was surprisingly warm by the bay today.

It was cool this morning. I think it got up to 60, but we were done by then.
