Well, I did a search first, but came up empty. I seek a method to transport archery equipment by bicycle on a road or mountain bike equiped with a rear rack. Handlebar and rack mounts? Backpacks specific for the task?

I know hunters are using bikes to get further into the woods, so I am guessing that someone else has already come up with a commercial or DIY solution. Do you know of any?

There is a thread on here with someone who bowfished carp on an Electra townie and he discussed his rig.

Cabela's makes a backpack that has a holder on the back for a bow or rifle. It just lashes on. Probably the best bet would be to put it in a bag on an Xtracycle.

Be a real man, just take a sharp knife - cut down a sapling and gut a deer when you get there!

Nah, I couldn't bring myself to do violence upon an innocent sapling.

But I did run across this rig from Montana Scabbards:

The maker claims fishing poles, rifles, even cross country ski's can be carried with it.

You might try an ATV handlebar mount. It shouldn't be to hard to modify. I like the backpack idea, but you'll need that to pack out the meat.

I would think taking a section of pvc pipe with a cap on the bottom, cut out the sides and leave a ring at the top. then use some velcro to hold everything in would do the trick.. then mount it to the side of your rack.

The rack locals use to carry surfboards on the back of bikes shold work.
