just looking for some opinions on this entry road bike. Just had a look at it in the shop today, and thought it look great...and light. I know the componets are nothing special, but it still looks like good value.

Looks like a nice package. I recommend also test riding the steel Finest. It's only 1lb heavier (you won't even notice that) and you might like the ride better.

This is a decent ride. The only thing I would comment on is the Sora equipment, it's not the best; especially the shifters. If you can, take a look at the Newest which is a step up. It's got Tiagra eqiupment which is better and upgradeable where the Sora is not. The Newest also has a carbon fork which helps smooth the ride. I test rode one and really liked it.

I have the steel model - 3000 miles on it and going strong.

I'd tell you the same.

I've also got a Finest-AL. It has been a fine bike. I agree that if you can afford the extra change for the Newest I would go that route. The Newest also is a way cool burnt orange / red color this year...
