There is a DVD out called The Hard Road. It covers a season with the US Pro Team Net Zero.
Anyone seen it or purchased it? Was it worth the money?

I found this forum earlier today on a search engine as I was monitering activity on my book. I'm glad I did.

I have a copy of The Hard Road. You'll love it! It's a fantastic inside look into professional cycling at the entry level. I got mine at http://www.DailyPeloton.com

Not a bad introduction to the sport. Footage was a bit chopped up though. I got it free from VeloNews.

i liked it for the most part. it is weak in some areas, but gives a good impression of what it's like to race in the US.

interesting film. the editing is a bit amateurish and choppy, and there are some sound problems... but it's entertaininga nd informative, and worth a view.

I rented mine from netflix it is a decent film. I think it is geared more towards the weekend warrior more so than a racer. I would have loved to see more of the behind the scenes stuff like training and what they do during a day as a racer.

Sorry, there are laws against that!! It is not an expensive DVD and is readily available at many LBS. Jamie, the guy who runs the team and is the lead rider put up the $$ and did the film himself, so it would be nice to support him and his team by buying a copy.

Very goo documentary. If you have raced at atop level in the US, especially in the So Cal area this video brings back memories.

For begginers it may be a waste. You have no insight on the riders. However the inside information Jamie puts out gives up and coming riders a look at the domestic scene. He did an awesome job giving up and coming riders an inside look at how cycling works in the states. Wish he would have gone deeper but there are boundaries.

Don't mean to be picky but there are not laws against that. You would be well within your rights to do what ever you want with the DVD as long as you didn't make an "illegal" duplication. I'm sure you don't want to start a list and pass the DVD on too everyone who asked for it, but you could if you wanted to.

Jaime has a new movie called "Pro." I saw it at Interbike and it's excellent. It follows all of the major players and some of the minor ones in the 2004 US Pro Championship in Philly. The movie does a fantastic job of introducing you to the cyclists. Scenes range from hysterical to inspirational.

Just saw the movie. I agree with the previous posters about the choppy editing and some sound problems. I also wanted to see more shots on daily routines and training. However, the race scenes and the glimpse into pro life was worth the $$ for the DVD.

Bottom line: worth buying, worth watching but there are better films out there.

man ......I hate you guys...i would kill to get copies of any of this stuff but never come across it.....videos & DVD's sometimes don't work cos of the 'zone' stuff...so i'm reluctant to even have a shot on ebay (even if I did know how to do it!)...I can't even get a copy of that old cosner film you guys were discussing awhile back.....I love this country...but it doesn't pay to be involved in a minority sport!...help

You can easily purchase a region-free (Multi-Region) DVD Players for about $100 US. Search the internet, they are all over the place...

Kevin Costner - American Flyers.. not a bad movie...
