The registration is open for "The Brute." Starts in lovely Arcadia in Trempeleau County, WI. Sign up and go. You know you want to....

Map and cue sheets are not up yet. If anyone has ridden in this area, they can vouch for the hills and the scenery. Should be a great ride. Kinda spendy at $60, but that does include a shirt.

I have ridden The Brute (100K) the past two years with my wife and some friends. It is a REALLY nice ride. Don Curtis puts on a great event. Sign up early and often.

If you are coming from the South, consider staying in Trempeleau or at least eating at the Trempeleau Hotel.

Registered a week or so back. Not sure, but I'll likely be camping 45min south on the bluffs of Perot State Park (http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/regions/wcr/perrot.html) the night before. I consider it a warm-up for HHH with slightly different topography. And I'm really committed since it gets me out of a wedding my wife is in. *pumps fist in glee*

Beautiful area, BTW. Stayed at Trempeleau Hotel several times, and have camped at Perrot a lot, too. Hotel can be kind of noisy on a Friday or Sat. night, since the rooms are all above a bar. One time had a full wedding reception party going on out in back too.

Goes with the kilt perfectly. I'm only half joking, too.
