Hi all,
I have been doing some development for us and thought you might like to see the progress of our trees (and our tree owners)
The Trees of Finca Leola (http://www.fincaleola.com/TreeOwners/showTreePhotos.php)
Enjoy
That is so cool...
I have to visit CR someday. The wife is dying to go.

Yep, it is a lot of work. I do believe we have in excess of 120,000 trees now. The growth is really amazing.
Just thought you all would like to see the pictures.

You are more than welcome anytime. Joe and Heather are moving down soon and doing bike tours I do believe (that is their plan).
Costa Rica really is a great place to visit, and if you have the right mindset, a great place to live too.

You are more than welcome. Thanks for being part of it.
The 2008 teak and acacia saplings at 3.8 months are so adorable. :) But wait... trees grow? I was hoping to be sent pictures of cute little trees for years to come. What if I want some more cute little trees to show up on my personalized page next year? They'll have grown out of that cute stage by then. :(

Pretty much that. I expect just about every thread in foo to turn into something either sex or fecal related. How about more sex and less fecal matter? :p

I have heard that a good cry is quite pleasurable for some.

You just have to keep buying trees every year if you want cute little trees. They stay little for so few years...

Probably a lot of the 2008 mixed and 2008 acacia. I know I was just over there taking photos of them. I do believe you can see the name of the farm in the photos.

Joe and Heather, right now as I type this I can hear a large grader chewing up the road and next is laying down fine gravel. It is going to be wonderful... :D Should be done before you arrive, you lucky stiffs...

Oh, I didn't realise they were going to be that close to you.
I like the shots of the trees on the hillside - grassed hillside with little plants - then you can barely see the hillside because of the trees covering it. Really shows how quickly the land is getting reforested.
edit:
The Sura 2003 - especially the 1.8 and 2.3 year pictures.

Joe and Heather actually live on the edge of one of our plantations - granted we live on another about 12 kilometers away, but as the parrot flies, it is about 6 kilometers I think, REALLY ROUGH kilometers.
Their building site is really great - it might even be nicer than ours...
One of the incredible things is how much cooler the first plantation is now - and how much more wildlife. This is after a little more than 5 years of the first trees. In another 3 years, it will all be forest. In another 2 years (or less), we are harvesting the first thinnings.
