Foo - The move is complete - no longer a resident of Dallas, Tx

This afternoon my wife and I turned over the keys to our old apartment near UTD in Dallas. I'm sad to be moving away from Jsharr, I can no longer use his place as the destination for a quick 15mi out-and-back ride in the evenings. But very excited to be completely "moved" in to our new home in Allen, Tx. I still have a cycling worthy route that will get me down to Jsharr's so he's not completely safe from me dropping in nearly unannounced if I have enough time for the trip.

Oh, and by "moved" I mean there's a dozen boxes of books and such at my parent's place, and at least a month's worth of work ahead before I can even consider us "settled" into the new place. New carpet for the Master bedroom won't be here till near the end of the month and till at least the paint is done in there we've got the bed set up in the Family room. Hopefully between the painting, flooring, yard work, etc I can still manage to even remember how to ride a bike. Yay home ownership! :lol: Seriously, I'm very happy to have my own place and out of the apartment, but I some how don't see myself getting 3k miles this year on the bike.

Oh, and thanks to who ever it was in my Bamboo thread that recommended Ambient Bamboo - I got samples from them and it looks like great stuff for the price. I'll likely be ordering from them some time soon.

Well wasn't that just amazingly well timed. In any case, I'll likely need a few things, but nothing right away. A miter saw and a router is about the only things I can think of, and my dad's probably got those as well that I can "borrow with full intend of bringing back as soon as I am done."

I have a fixed base router, a plunge router and a router table, as well as a compound sliding miter saw, band saw and scroll saw, pancake compressor, pneumatic brad nailer, etc. Any or all yours for the asking bro. I even work for beer, but do not pay me until you have seem my work.

May the new place be as much or more enjoyable than the previous Cuda!

JSharr, you'll be getting a call as soon as I figure out what wood work needs to be done and when. I'll have the :beer:. Any chances for a tile saw? I think you said you had all the floor work done, but figure it was worth askin.

Good starting point to get out of town quickly and on the rural roads without having to do a 40+ mi ride. Helps that I know the roads and can plan a good route... and that I don't have to drive to the start! ;)

EH, yard work is in order both front and rear. I have a Rosemary plant and a lemon tree sitting in the back already, not sure if we'll plant either in the ground or get larger / better pots for them later this spring. I need to get to work on the lawn and then the front planters first, then I'll deal with the back.
