Southern California - Intermediate / Cat 5 Group Ride Saturdays in Hollywood

So we've been going on for 10 weeks consecutively, and successfully. We are the Caturday Warriors. We run 60+ miles every saturday, meet at 7:30. This is a technical ride but we welcome intermediate riders. If you've been doing a lot of solo riding, but want to jump into faster group rides with distance covered, we are very welcome and open to new riders.

Sorry i meant Highland and Franklin, There's a donut shop right there on highland across from the renaissance hotel lobby.

when i say technical, meaning non-race like. riding group style fast. many of our riders come from the night riding scene and the younger crowd often likes to show off their speed and be jumpy. the ride is always challening enough, just go with the flow of the ride.

not sure where AC is but we're taking cahuenga to big T.

Cahuenga ends at Victory. I believe AC is in reference to Angeles Crest Highway which starts in La Canada at Foothill Blvd where semi trucks plow into bookstores. Big Tujunga Canyon Rd starts at the end of Oro Vista in Sunland.

I hit the REI used gear sale yesterday, else I would have ridden with you guys. Sounds fun.

Back into base mileage mode. We meet at Franklin/Highland in Hollywood, Saturdays 8 AM. 19 mph average over the course of the entire ride.

This week 11/7 we are riding 77 miles to Lake Castaic. Arrive No later than 8:15!

that's an old post, I think. the ride on 11/7 is to Castaic. You riding on the 5 all the way out there?

I'd actually like to join up with you guys soon. maybe in December. I'm at a base of about 45 miles now and need to build up a bit to comfortably ride 65+ at 19mph... but looks like a cool group.
