Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Overlap on the Kilo TT

Can anyone tell me if there is any heel overlap on the Mercier Kilo TT? I want a really tight geometry bike, but I have heard that these French bikes and American heels don't work too well together. If there is a lot of toe overlap, I guess I could get some really big cages to slide my feet forward, or just ride with my heels on the pedals. Maybe some shorter crankarms are the ticket.

Does anyone know if you can slide the rear wheel back in the dropouts so that there is minimal or no heel overlap?

wow. heel overlap? this is a new one.

consider it a non issue. the cranks on the bike are probably 165s and it really shouldnt be a problem. even at 175mm. it doesnt matter how long your legs are. the cranks are still the same length. unless you're rockin size 20 feet.

There's nothing French about the Mercier. It's as American as every other Taiwanese-manufactured product! :)

Are you worried about your heel hitting the chainstay? I've never had a problem with this. My toe hits the front wheel, but only if I'm practically sitting still and everything is in just the right spot.

I'm also only 6'0 and not-so-much legs, but unless your feet are like 18 inches long I don't think this'll be a problem for you
