For 3 years, Team Bio-Rad Laboratories has fielded at least a half dozen riders in the Seattle Tour de Cure. Our Seattle TdC team brought in over $2500 in contributions last year, and we're looking at doubling out team size from last year to over 20 riders in 2009!
As of today (03-11-2009) Team Bio-Rad is #3 in fundraising efforts for the Seattle leg of the TdC, down from the #2 spot which we held for over two months... So, I'm passing the plate and looking for donations towards Team Bio-Rad's continued stay in the Top 3.
As a whole, Bio-Rad Laboratories brought in over $66,000 for the American Diabetes Association during the 2008 Tour de Cure. That was between 2 rides: Seattle, and the Napa Valley CA tour. Overall, Team Bio-Rad was the #6 corporate fundraiser for the Tour, and this year we plan on doing even better. We've got a few BF members joining the team this year; 1bluetrek and mitchel have paired themselves with Team Bio-Rad, Redmond Operations.
If you can spare some change for what we believe is a a very worthy cause, please follow the link to Team Bio-Rad Laboratories, Redmond Operations (http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR/TourdeCure/TDC451018030?pg=team&fr_id=5622&team_id=329231) page to select a rider to sponsor. (Or you can follow the link in my signature to go directly to my donation page; although I encourage you to donate to our riders who don't have much in their till so far.)
