Northeast - March 28 practice brevet in Frenchtown

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I think I might do this. Anybody going?

I've been tempted to start doing brevets but Frenchtown is a wee bit far for just a 70k ride.
Maybe this season I'll just start doing long rides and prepare to do brevets starting next year. I have a blast on centuries but have yet to do a double.
My long distance goal this year is to do NYC -> Bear Mountain -> BM Bridge over to North County Rail Trail in Westchester and back down to NYC on that side of the river.
Yeah, I'd agree if it were just a 70k ride, but I want to dip a toe in and see what I need to change about the bike, how the controles work, what the social interaction is like, and all that. And I've never bothered with cue sheets on centuries I've done (there are arrows painted on the ground, you know?), so I need to start making some mistakes with those, too.
Very true noteon, probably a great way to see how they work and meet some people. I wish I had gotten my act together earlier this year, I probably would have tried out the 200k brevet in Princeton. Commuting alone just doesn't cut it for brevet training.
