Hey, I am buying my first bike in minutes and i neeed help picking a size.

I am 6' and have a standover of 31.5"

on the motobecane messenger they have standover heights of 31" for the 54cm and 31.7" for the 56cm. From searching it seems like 54 is small for a person of my height so I can't decide on them. Here is the geometry chart for the messenger.

I did, they only have info on shorties! Would you guys say go with the smaller one to be safe? I don't wanna slam my nuts every dismount.

im 6ft and i ride a 58cm messenger just fine. the tt is a little awkward at times but i have long legs

Go for the 56 or the 58.

I'm 5'11 and my 54's a tad too small for me.

Ditto on the 56 or 58 for you. I'm 5'10 and ride a 53, 54 & 55. 56 was too big for me.

you guys don't think the standover height for a 56cm being
807 millimeters = 31.7716535 inches

while my standover is 31.5 will be an issue? sorry about the font.

i've never ridden a road bike so i'm not sure, help!

Go according to wrench science. I did it. And my bike fits great. Check the other sizes as well.
Racking your nuts sucks. Spending 350 on a bike that's way uncomfortable to ride sucks way more.
