Looks awesome.

Any issues with paint adhesion, using clear directly over steel instead of on top of the usual primer and paint coats?

Think it'll last?

Awesome. That's exactly what I want to do with my old Rock Hopper frame. Did you do this yourself or have a powdercoat shop do it?

all me... 3 hours worth of chemicals, steel wool, and a steel brush...

yea I know for a fact this wont last but it will be good until I can afford to get an actual super thick black powder coating done, it is just a thick coat of rustoleum spraypaint now but I figure if it gets scratched I can just sand it a little and touch it up with more spraypaint

cheap and easy fix for now but I like the look of raw steel

powder coating is my jimmy jams and I can't wait to get it done by a friend, we are also doing the crankarms and fork

I have an old hard rock frame but I don't know yet what to do to it first... it will be my SS mtb

anyone want to guess the frame brand and name? it might be impossible unless you are very familiar with this company's welding quality since I haven't put the headbadge back on yet.
