the problem with riding a bike like that is you HAVE to be pretty fast, or you just look silly going slow on the aero bars.

Is it more important to ride fast or just like you're riding fast? ;)

Unfortunately for you, you previously mentioned owning a carbon bike once upon a time. I've never riden one more than half a mile, with running shoes on, so I would a full page essay on the differences you observed between the carbon and your steel 'Bijanchis' :D ;) :) :D

Oh c'mon mr bianchi.. we all know you only love bianchis :D :D

Besides, who would not take and ride a Trek TT bike if it were just given to you... provided it is the right size [and has DA components in my case.. :D ]

Anyway, nice bike... great bike... anyone want to give me one.. I love treks!!!! ;)

I remember a century ride i did a few years back. 750 riders, a complete loop in New Mexico, with a 9,000 foot climb to the finish (Red River Enchanted Circle)
I finished 51st riding solo (could have donr better but apx 3/4 thru I broke some rear spokes and had drag, couldnt maintain my avg speed, climbs with drag and decents had to use caution and sptints with friction) any ways i finished that ride in 4 hours and 45 mins...
What really impressed me was the guy who won, his name was Kent Bostick, he finished in just over 4 hours on his TT bike... Imagine what he could have done on this bike................. :D
Or if I would have had this bike I would have beat him LOL (yea right) :D

I would love to buy it, Problem is $$$$$
I wonder if someone here is independently wealthy and wouldnt mind giving me a loan, or claim to be a long lost relative and be willing to share poor great Uncle Bobs inheritance with me

Of course, you would get a nice discount from me. ;) I wouldn't need the full value, anyhow, since my dream bike will end up a bit cheaper than this monster. :D

i'd love to get a TT bike, particularly this one (i'd change the bars and the components, though). BUT it's more of a priority to replace the aging steel schwinn roadie i'm on now. buying one $5000 bike is a lot to put the wife through. buying 2 might just make me not have a wife anymore!

Well, to be picky, there is no way you had a 9,000' climb to the finish. The pass near Red River, which I have climbed, is, as I recall, Bobcat Pass at something over 9,000'. Now elevation around there is pretty high, probably over 6,000' in the "low" spots so unless you all rode into a mine shaft and back out again, there is no way you had a "9,000' climb to the finish". Now I what I think you MEAN is that there was 9,000' of climbing in the century with an impressive climb at the end.

well whatever the climb, I thought it was 9, I could be mistaken, none the less ....
Red Rvier is an awsome ride, you go thru Taos, Eagles Nest and I do beleive Bobcat Pass. all I know it was one mutha of a climb back into Red River especially with rear broken spokes

Just wanted to Clarify that the enchanted circle century does have a 9,800' climb at the finish.
I thought I was right and had to double check.

One of my friends gets his Trek Time Trial next month. I'm jealous. Enough said. If only I were big enough to at least test ride my friends' bikes, but I'm not
