I have a Silca pump and am trying to put it back together. Can anyone tell where I might find a diagram or explain how the plunger and the spring go back together? I've tried putting it together with a new leather plunger but get no pressure. So I'm not sure if I have it in the right order. Help if possible!

I believe, from bottom to top, it is nut, plastic spacer, leather, washer, nut, spring, top cap, nut, handle, nut. If you get no pressure, did you lube the leather. I like to put a mix of light oil and grease on mine and grease the inside of the tube. Therre are also a couple of different size leathers. If you still get no pressure it may be the foot valve. That is behind the nut below the guage. It has a little spring and an o-ring on a stopper, and if the spring fails or o-ring fails or gets something caught in it it won't hold pressure.

Yes, you HAVE to soak the leather in some sort of oil before installation.
