It says 6:30-8 (PST AM) but I never catch the end of the stage....so when should I have my VCR shut off?
Thanks...

You might try taping the repeat, might be wrong, but I think they adjust it to end at the right time...

Well, see, it's live. As a result, like yesterday, if you look at the stage profile and see a lot of climbing like yesterday, set the VCR for more time at the back end....I set mine for a total of 2 and 1/2 hours.
go Saeco!!
go Cannondale!!

Yep. Monday, I set the VCR for 1.5 hrs, missed the end. So Tuesday, I set it for 2 hrs. Missed the end. So, aim high... 2.5 hrs it is.

Yes, especially on the mountain stages, expect the coverage to go longer than scheduled.
Tuesday's stage was posted as "9:30 AM - 11:00 AM eastern" but it went until noon.
Maybe just tape the repeats, because they probably edit it down to an exact 90 minutes.

I just can't believe that they aren't rebroadcasting it in the evening....
It's absolutely mind blowing how OLN goes about programming their cycling coverage. TiVo's probably in our future, much to the chagrin of the advertisers.
Stop complaining you weenies. Here in canada OLN isn't even showing the giro.
However, when watching the tour (the only race they bother showing) I made sure I set my timer for an extra hour, and during mountain stages, sometimes as much as two hours!
My dad just got a tivo that does HD... The thing can be recording three different programs at once, while you watch one recording..hehe... It'd be awesome to record teh whole tour (if broadcasted in HD) downgrade it to dvd quality, and make my own copy of it.. :)

I got tired of missing overruns by taping the live shows so I gave up and just do the 1.5 hour repeats. Even that can be iffy. I happened to be home for the repeat Tuesday which for some reason started a few minutes late. Added benefit is that I know I can get 4 stages per tape. I have the parts to set my computer up as a dvr then make dvds. Just have to get the time to run new cable, install the parts, and figure out how to use the stuff.
