I was just reading that post about people that just don't get it. They make fun, laugh or just think it's plain weird/cazy/insane when you tell them you're gonna run 7 miles, do a triathlon, run a marathon or whatever your training/race/weekend plan is. They just don't get it and think you're nuts.

Anyway, it got me thinking, kinda on the flip side of things...

I was talking to someone invited to my upcoming wedding. Some of the guests (who are in the wedding) will need to walk from my place to the park where we are getting married. They were complaining it was too far to walk and wanted me to provide them with the # of a cab service. I mapped it online. It's 0.69 miles, all on a side walk in a VERY nice neighborhood, in the middle of the day, in May. I told them it's less than a mile and they were STILL insistant on not walking "that far" because, afterall, they might be in a suit, or heels or whatever.

WTF!!!!!!!! I'll be in a suit. My fiance wants to walk and she'll be in a wedding dress and heels and she realizes it's no big deal at all. It's NOT EVEN A FRIGGIN MILE.

Anyway, I guess this time I just don't get it.

:wtf:

Is this in NYC? I thought everybody there was used to walking because traffic is so bad that it's usually faster and easier to go by foot. WTF, indeed.

Everyone has their things. For instance, I can't believe you don't eat bacon. :wtf:

Believe it or not, some women wear shoes that are really painful and they can't walk that far in them without getting blisters.
