Professional Cycling For the Fans - The Lance Effect (in pictures)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

That's a useful tool. It apparently is a better for epidemiological prediction than CDC reports. I.E., graphing by geograpical location searches for "flu symptoms" apparently accurately predicts flu outbreaks a week or so before CDC reports catch up.
How 'bout that Paris Nice 6 today?

Today Velo news pretty much confirmed this theory. The bigger story was Lance falling compared to the winner of the stage.

somebody won the stage? I just know that Lance crashed. (seriously, that's what I know. although I am confident that somebody won the stage.)

It's the double edge sword of the Lance effect. When he's around the other cyclists get a little extra light shed on them, when he's not, it's like a black hole. Joaquin Sobrino's biggest win to date and you gotta dig to find news about it.

I heard that once Lance went down they stopped the race and sent everyone home. Why bother going on?
